Most pistols these days use a standard 11mm female thread on the inside of the outer barrel. You either need a suppressor that has a thread as standard or use an adapter. CTM have taken the basic design and improved upon it.
First off, it's full CNC'd steel meaning it's rock solid and won't break unlike other 'alloy' made counterparts. It's even QPQ hardened (Google it :)) for extra durability and corrosion resistance. Next, they extended the length overall to ensure any added suppressor won't foul on the end of the slide. A hole through the centre diameter allows you to tighten the adapter onto your barrel securely with a small hex key or screwdriver without damaging the surface. Finally, they added an O-ring to each end to help stop things vibrating loose in use.
*DO NOT over tighten the adapter onto your Outer Barrel as you will damage your Barrel Threads.
