Description
A CAT or Combat Application Tourniquet is a vital piece of life saving equipment on the modern battlefield. The CAT is constructed from heavy duty nylon with a winch and hook and loop closure system. The trailing end of the CAT features a high visibility red tab. The cover system also features a white “time” system so that you can mark the time when the CAT was applied.
The Tourniquet is designed to provide circumferential pressure to the limbs to stop or restrict bleeding until greater medical aid can be administered. Its unique double fixed winch system avoids using any screws and clamps that might become damaged or broken when is extreme condition. The CAT is designed to be applied under stress or with damage to the fine motor skills.
