Description

VFC Gas M4 / AR-15s made a strong comeback after they introduced their V3 gas system, first shown in their BCM MCMR series and VFC has since implemented this formula into every M4 / AR15 gas airsoft rifle produced. This system now rivals the GHK V2 as it is arguably more reliable yet still as realistic (aside from the forward assist being a dummy) but that is just nitpicking, who uses forward assist in airsoft anyway. Ever since then many GBB users have switched to the VFC V3 hype train, even a bunch of us in the RedWolf office have done so. Now, VFC-made gas M4 / AR 15s are usually cheaper to buy compared to the Tokyo Marui MWS or the GHK V2 ones, but still, that isn't cheap compared to some AEGs on the market. Until today!

The VFC Olympic Arms AR-15 GBB Airsoft Rifle may just be your ticket into the realistic airsoft experience! This rifle is of an SBR (short barrel rifle) form factor, with a 5.5-inch barrel and a 3.7-inch RAS handguard with Picatinny on all 4 sides, you may not want to use this as a DMR, but this is a CQB beast, with some older styling, like c'mon, this thing is supposed to mimic an Olympic Arms AR-15, and the last time we checked, those guys don't even exist anymore! Regardless, everything on this rifle is super user friendly, we mentioned that it has a Picatinny handguard, a monolithic top rail allowing you to attach all kinds of optics, red dots, lasers, flashlights, grips, PEQs and if you wanna go crazy, maybe even an LPVO, hey, we don't judge. Speaking of modularity, the flash hider on this airsoft rifle is steel and threaded for 14mm CCW, if that is not your taste, you could always swap it out for a tracer unit or even other airsoft suppressors to make it look cooler! The stock on this rifle is a 5-position CAR-15 style nylon fiber retractable stock, which gives it a retro look, and it has the iconic sling hoop that allows you to run a 2-point sling attaching the stock and the hoop under the front sight post.

We said that this VFC GBBR is an entry-level GBB, now that being said, this rifle comes with 2 gas magazines, and not just any STANAG-style magazine, it comes with the VFC VMAG which is lighter, due to its polymer shell looks much nicer and has modern styling, a contrast to the rifle itself. You might be thinking that this rifle is almost US$400, how is this supposed to be an entry-level gun? Well consider this, this gun utilizes the VFC V3 gas system which is modern, proven, and has plenty of aftermarket support, not to mention that it is modular compared to a bone stock Tokyo Marui MWS M4A1 Carbine and it comes with 2 magazines. If you always wanted to try fielding a GBB, honestly, you really can't go wrong with this one.
