MP5 A3 construction and CQB use

The replica is made of nylon and aluminium. Its weight without the magazine is ~2836 g. The airsoft submachine gun measures 575 mm with the stock collapsed and 725 mm with the stock extended.

The construction is based on the configuration of the MP5 A3 firearm counterpart. The classic handguard and retractable stock retain the characteristic layout of this version. The stock offers three adjustment positions, allowing the replica's length to be adapted to the user's preferred stance and handling style.

With the stock collapsed, the replica retains compact dimensions that facilitate maneuvering inside buildings, moving through narrow passages and quickly transitioning between targets. Extending the stock provides a more stable shoulder position when firing.

The replica has four sling attachment points. The first is located near the front pin, the second on the magazine well, and the third and fourth around the stock. Their placement allows the carrying configuration to be adapted to the user's preferences and sling setup.

Licensed markings are located near the magazine well, on the upper part of the receiver and on the left side of the trigger housing. An individual serial number is located on the magazine well.

Muzzle device:

The replica features a muzzle device with a Tri-Lug mounting system and a 14 mm CCW thread. The two mounting standards allow the use of appropriately matched tracer units and dummy sound suppressors.

The construction supports the installation of the MP5K, MP5 PDW QD Spitfire tracer unit, which uses a quick-detach mounting system designed for the MP5 platform. A tracer unit can make it easier to observe the BB trajectory during CQB games in poorly lit indoor areas.

Sights and optics mounting:

The replica is equipped with standard iron sights consisting of a diopter rear sight and a hooded front sight.

Between the sights is a mounting point for the Rail mount for MP5/G3 - low [CYMA] rail. The rail allows the use of compatible red dot sights, which facilitate faster target acquisition during dynamic games and short-range engagements.

Controls and hop-up adjustment:

The replica uses the classic ambidextrous control layout of the MP5 platform. The magazine release lever is located in front of the trigger guard, facilitating operation during magazine changes.

Access to the polymer MP5 hop-up chamber is gained by pulling the cocking handle back and locking it in the dedicated notch. Exposing the chamber simplifies hop-up adjustment without requiring the replica to be disassembled.

Internal parts and mechanics:

The MP5-version GEN-2 V2 gearbox is equipped with the quick spring change system located inside the gearbox.

The mechanism uses CNC-machined 13:1 short-stroke gears, 8 mm steel ball bearings and a piston with full steel teeth. Power is provided by a long-type high-torque neodymium motor.

The pneumatic system includes a set of silent aluminum heads, a steel type 2 cylinder and a 21.00 mm Teflon nozzle sealed with an O-ring. The steel spring guide is equipped with a bearing.

Electronic system and power supply:

The replica uses the Kestrel V2 MOSFET/ETU, which electronically controls the mechanism and supports a fast trigger response.

The wiring is terminated with a T-connect plug. The battery compartment is located in the front section of the replica, beneath the handguard.

Performance and precision:

The replica's stock muzzle velocity is ~340 FPS. When the muzzle velocity adjustment service is purchased, a Low configuration reaching ~300 FPS is available, which may facilitate compliance with limits used during CQB games.

The replica reaches a rate of fire of ~26 RPS when used with an appropriate battery. The brass AEG inner barrel is 225 mm long and has a diameter of 6.03 mm.
